Infotech Niagara event offers ‘sampler menu’ of tech groups

Infotech Niagara on Thursday is hosting an event to introduce to the widest possible audience some of the groups that support entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts in Buffalo.

The User Group Lightning Round Session runs from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Thursday in the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, and organizer David Bachowski calls the event a “sampler menu” of the tech- and business-related groups that have formed in Buffalo in recent years. The groups have about five minutes each to introduce themselves to the audience.

The organizations that plan to attend include Girl Develop It, Buffalo Game Space, WNY Venture Association and Buffalo Angels, V-CAMP, BuffaloLab, Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology, Startup Weekend, Javascript Meetup, Buffalo Unconference and Pitch-In.

The lightning round is taking place at the same time as Infotech’s BETA Technology Showcase, which recognizes technological innovation and activism. The event is free but attendees are asked to register through the showcase at
